The Wolfhagen Institute for Functional and Environmental Medicine

Chronic diseases are often triggered or worsened by environmental pollution, food or nutritional deficiencies.

The Wolfhagen Institute for Functional and Environmental Medicine has been treating patients suffering from allergies, multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS), ADHD (hyperactivity, autism) and neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, etc.) for 30 years.

Dr Klaus-Dietrich Runow, the head of the Institute and a pioneer in the field, had a major contribution in its development into a modern analytical facility which cooperates with recognized laboratories in the USA to which it sends samples for biological and genetic testing. The treatment of nutritional deficiencies, antioxidant therapies such as intravenous administration of glutathione, alpha lipoic acid, coenzyme Q10 and heavy metal detoxification are other strong points of the Institute.
